On 4 February 2026, Puransaksham Foundation partnered with Project Anmol – Enactus, Dyal Singh College to support women’s empowerment through a macramé skill development initiative for Self Help Group (SHG) women.
During the engagement, participants were guided in creating handcrafted macramé products, enabling them to learn practical craft skills that can be transformed into home-based income opportunities. The session focused on building creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking among women.
As part of the initiative, 5 SHG women actively participated and created more than 20 handcrafted macramé products, marking an important step toward sustainable livelihoods.
This collaborative effort highlights the importance of partnerships between NGOs and academic institutions in creating meaningful social impact. By equipping women with practical skills and encouraging self-reliance, the initiative contributes to building stronger and more sustainable communities.
